Meet Terrie

Terrie Lupberger doesn’t do status quo.

Her coaching and consulting clients call her gently irreverent for a reason. She’s got a gift for naming the stuff no one wants to talk about (but everyone’s secretly struggling with). The sacred cows. The unspoken expectations. The broken rules and leadership myths we’re still hustling under.

With humor, heart, and compassion, she helps people loosen their grip on outdated norms and the old common sense to see what’s been hiding in plain sight all along: a saner, more powerful way to lead, coach, or be an effective team or team member.

For over 25 years, Terrie has worked globally as a Master Certified Coach, Accredited Team Coach, facilitator, and consultant. She’s partnered with thousands of executives and teams across corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors. She has taught leadership, coaching, and team development in Europe, Asia, and the U.S. She co-facilitates the Executive Sanctuary for nonprofit leaders, and serves as a trusted advisor to leaders worldwide. Her approach integrates decades of organizational experience with her lifelong study in human development, wisdom traditions, philosophy, and systems thinking.

A pioneer in the coaching profession, Terrie was a founding member of the Association of Coach Training Organizations and a former global board member of the International Coaching Federation. Through her cutting edge work in the Disruptive Coach Master Class she is committed to catalyzing and accelerating the work of coaches who know so much more is possible in creating transformational shifts for individuals and groups.

Before stepping into coaching, she led complex initiatives in both the private and public sectors, gaining experience that grounds and informs her work today. Terrie, and her hand selected team of expert coaches and trainers, has tested tools, models, and experience that challenge the status quo in organizations. Beyond all the explanations, theories and tired clichés about leadership and organizational effectiveness, her team’s pragmatic and profound approach actually teaches leaders, managers and entrepreneurs how to change their habits of thinking and acting - to get the results and outcomes they want.

Terrie’s clients come from a wide variety of professions, backgrounds, and organizational structures that include Fortune 500 company leaders, Healthcare Professionals, Academic Leaders, Socially Responsible Entrepreneurs and Start Ups, Financial Professionals, Sundance Filmmakers and TED Fellows.    What they all have in common is a desire to generate greater results and a willingness to shift their thinking and behaviors because they know that more of the same won’t get them where they want to go.

Terrie is also an author, having contributed to several books and articles on leadership and coaching, including Professional Coaching: Principles and Practice and The Purple Book of Coaching: Curated Wisdom and Practice for the Ontological Approach to a Meaningful Life.

Her new book, Uncommon Wisdom at Work, is now available on Amazon. Learn more about it here.

“Working with Terrie is truly a gift. I honestly would not have made it through the last 2 years without her help. Terrie has a knack for asking the right questions, for quickly understanding what is important, and for bringing perspective to difficult situations. Her coaching toolbox is broad in a way that she always has the right tool for the situation and her approach combines an ability to be both unconditionally supportive and challenging at the same time. I love working with her because her insight is based on lived experience and on having been through the fire herself. I feel incredibly grateful for Terrie and I only wish more leaders could have the opportunity to work with her.”
